One of the classic ski mountaineering trips in the Champorcher valley.
The large summit overlooks the central valley and allows for an excellent panorama. The final slope, facing south, must be climbed with well-established snow.
If you do not have excellent knowledge of the winter mountains it is advisable to be accompanied by a mountain guide.
Updated snow conditions can sometimes be found on the website www.gulliver.it.
From the car park, go up the slope above until you almost reach the bend in the road where you turn right and continue up to the La Cort huts. You pass them to cross a stretch to the left and then climb steeply among the sparse trees until you reach the upper slopes.
Go up the slope and then move to the left and climb along the stream until you reach a basin which you climb up on the right to exit into the basin of Lake Muffé.
At this point we move to the left passing near the Muffé refreshment point.
Continue for a stretch towards the Col del Lago Bianco and then go up the steep slopes towards Cima Piana.
Once you reach the end, move to the right to overcome a steep section and reach a small basin.
You go up this last stretch and then reach the summit on a flat route from which you have an excellent view.
The descent takes place along the same route, in case of safe and well-established snow it is possible to directly descend the southern slope in the direction of Lake Muffé.
The trail is only indicative, depending on the snow conditions we follow the best and safest route.
