The best-known ski mountaineering climb in the Champorcher valley.
In the first part it is necessary to travel along the flat road that leads to Dondena but after reaching it the beautiful slopes very suitable for skiing await us up to the large summit.
If the Champorcher road is open, the excursion is also feasible in late season when you can reach Dondena by car, in this case you only cover the final part of the excursion on very beautiful slopes.
If you do not have excellent knowledge of the winter mountains it is advisable to be accompanied by a mountain guide.
Updated snow conditions can sometimes be found on the website www.gulliver.it.
From the car park, continue along the rural road up to the starting car park of the Barbustel refuge (in some periods this stretch is still passable by car).
Continue along the road with a slight slope until you reach Dondena.
You go down to cross the stream and then go up the other side.
Now go up the beautiful slopes, passing a slightly steeper section on the right, reaching the large basin below Monte Dondena.
Continue for a while before turning left and reaching the large hill between Rascias and Monte Dondena.
We now continue on steeper terrain until we reach the flat peak of which it becomes difficult to identify the real point.
With safe snow it is also possible to descend directly without passing through the collar.
From Dondena follow the rural road until you reach the car.
The trail is only indicative, depending on the snow conditions we follow the best and safest route.
